Welcome to Relax in Gozo — a small, independent hosting brand created to offer calm, characterful holiday homes in the Gozitan countryside.

Why Dar il-Hena?

Dar il-Hena means “House of Happiness” in Maltese — and that’s exactly what we hope it brings to everyone who stays here.

The farmhouse is centuries old and has been restored with care to preserve its historic character while adding the modern comforts today’s travellers expect. From the arches, stone mangers in the living room to the shaded olive grove above the pool, every corner has a story — and space to breathe.

Whether you’re here to relax, explore, reconnect, or work remotely in peace, Dar il-Hena offers the privacy and calm that only a truly detached countryside home can provide.

Beaches & Swimming Spots
Ramla Bay (20 mins)
Gozo’s most famous beach, with wide red-gold sand, clear water, and a relaxed vibe. Great for families.

San Blas Bay (15 mins)
A hidden gem — smaller, quieter, and reached by a steep hill (or a helpful local in a 4x4!). Worth the effort.

Xlendi Bay (25 mins)
Perfect for swimming, seaside dining, and watching the sunset between cliffs.

Dwejra (30 mins)
No beach, but stunning natural beauty. Ideal for sunset walks and diving.

Older than the pyramids — this UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see.

The Citadel in Victoria (20 mins)
Walk the walls, take in the views, and explore the old alleys. Plenty of cafes and museums nearby.

Ta’ Pinu Basilica (25 mins)
A peaceful and striking church set among open countryside. Quietly majestic.

Ta’ ÄŠenÄ‹ Cliffs (25 mins)
Breathtaking views over the sea. Wildflowers in spring, seabirds all year. Great picnic spot.
